Many people of S.A.S.S. (Single Action Shooting Society) know our engravings and most of their guns are featured on this site, so be sure to check back periodically, as we feature new engravings designed by us and the shooters.
We will take the time to listen to your ideas to create a one-of-a-kind design. We also have clients bring their own artwork or logo to engrave. If the artwork is on paper, floppy disk, CD or zip drive, we can import it into our graphic program. Certain types of drawings engrave better than others on wood. Black and white line art is the best choice on a gun stock. All of our designs are on a computer graphic program that then sends the information to the laser, therefore with this technology you can let your mind go wild with possibilities. All this can be done while you wait! An average engraving takes 15-20 minutes.
Our newest design is custom factory checkering. Drifter has really perfected this and the results are unbelievable. We are constantly coming up with new and unique designs. Besides the factory checkering, you are able to design your own type of checkering. The example on this site being the popular barbed wire checkering and the star checkering.

Wood is our most popular medium, but we also engrave stag, ivory and buffalo horn, which brings stunning results. Ivory engraves jet black when the laser beam hits it, while buffalo horn turns a beautiful copper-gold color. We also engrave Micarta and just about any synthetic material on the market. Leather, glass, mirror, and marble are other materials we have engraved.
Each medium has its own power and speed settings that have to be perfected. Drifter's designs must be life-like and eye catching to meet his high standards. We are very proud of our work and it shows!
If you are unable to attend a S.A.S.S. shoot in your area, you can mail your gunstock or grips to us. We do many engravings thru the mail and the turn around time is usually one week or less. Please be sure to contact us through email, mail or phone before sending the item to us.
